Once while golfing on a very crowded day at the golf course, I hit a terribly errant shot into a tree near the next tee box. A somewhat attractive lady was playing with her dad ahead of us and while we were waiting for the group ahead of them, we would chat. And by chat, I mean we played a lot of cat and mouse (flirting if you can't read between the lines) much to her father's dismay (especially since I had just been recently engaged and my friend was already married).
Anywho, when hit the shot, I was forced to yell "FORE!" to make sure they were ready to be hit with a golf ball. Well, they never heard me and the ball never hit them so that was really neither hear nor there. I got up to my ball, I, like always, proceeded to kick the ball out from under the tree and lined up for my shot. The attractive lady teased me and said that I needed to play the ball as it lied (is that how you spell that?) or it was a one shot penalty. Me being the cocky guy I was and me being the guy who had already drank three hard lemonades by the 6th hole, I manned up and hit the ball from under the tree. The shot was yet another poor one (maybe that had to do with the fact that I was as previously stated under the influence of the adult version of lemonade) and I would have been far better off to take the stroke and line up the shot like I originally intended (though I didn't intend to take the stroke penalty because, well, when I golf, I don't keep score). Needless to say I could have predicted the poor shot further because immediately before starting my back swing, I smirked at the pretty lady and said, "I'm only doing this because I don't want to disappoint my fans."
What the hell was that? Why would someone like me who's afraid to say boo to someone I don't know say something dumb like that? Ok. You get the gist of the story. She was attractive and I had been drinking. FMD as you're reading this, these are the reasons I don't drink heavily anymore.
Ok. My point in telling you this story? Well, according to my blog stat keeper, several people have visited my blog today and they found, well, nothing. Nothing new at least. I slacked yesterday and didn't blog but no one's perfect right? So for those of you who venture back later tonight or tomorrow or the next day(s), find solace in the fact that I'm happy to have readers care about my normally ho-hum life, and I don't want to disappoint any of my fans!

That's why you have fans; you care about us leading us to care about you. :-)
I laughed out loud when I read the "disappoint my fans" part!!
Miss you terribly and hope house hunting is more productive soon,
Tj
