House Hunting

Many have asked, and for those of you who haven't, I'll tell you anyways... FMD and I went house hunting on Saturday and, well, we don't have any immediate prospects. After driving all around B.F.E., we only actually saw 2 houses. One that we saw would be ideal, if it weren't 48 acres in the middle of town. Who wants that much land and to have neighbors all around you? Not this guy... The other one we saw was nice, but the land was 40 acres of, well, for the lack of a better term, steer shit. It was all pasture land and if I'm going to spend a great deal of money on a chunk of land, well, its going to be partially wooded.

The two houses we visited didn't appeal to me at all. One house was in the middle of a tilled field and had no lawn or no trees... Once again doesn't meet the criteria. The other one looked ideal on paper with pasture and wooded land, but the description failed to mention that in the corner of the 40 acre lot, you got to share a driveway with someone who's house isn't much more than 30 or 40 feet away. I don't mind neighbors, but that really doesn't seem like country living to me.
