Yup. So much for that once a day blogging I was promising to no one but myself... Such is life. Without further adieu, here's the Tuesday/Wednesday update.
Tuesday - Nothing.
Wednesday - Nothing.
Thank you and have a good night!
Ok. I'm kidding, but not very much. The past couple days have been pretty slow and relaxing. I enjoy going home at night to find FMD there after a hard day at work/school and the fact she stays the night there with me. Its great. I'm one of those folks who finds peace in being with someone even though there isn't anything really being "done". I don't need to entertain myself and whomever I'm with, I'm just fine "hanging out". That being said, my decoys aren't finishing themselves. I did however manage to edit some photos for FMD last night that I've been promising to do for the past 2 months. Yeah for procrastination!
In other un-exciting news, I'm finding it nearly impossible to receive our tax returns and not spend the money immediately. Its tough! I usually look to my returns as a forced government savings plan that allows myself to splurge big time at least once a year. FMD and I discussed these matters last night and we've decided that no money will be going towards a really sweet kevlar canoe or a really sweet new car. Both of these ideas have been tossed around for quite a while and now they've been put to rest.
The only big ticket item left on our list is the possibility of a new computer. Discussion has only come about recently because the new AV software that I installed on my desktop machine is really hitting the computer's processing power hard. As a computer guy, I think I'm one of the most accepting people of slower/older computers because I realize buying a new one is just a big money pit. You put tons of money into one only to have it crap out on you in a few years. In my current computer's case however, its been six. It think its life has come to an end and it may be time to upgrade. Why upgrade? Do I do any crazy programming or gaming that requires a super computer? No. Do I want a super computer anyways? Yes. My thought track is, and follow with me here, is that I'm hoping to build (yes, BUILD) by own computer that will last another six years. All it really needs to be able to do is surf the net, prepare my resume once in a blue moon, and edit some photos if I ever get off my ass and take photos in the first place. I don't know what to think. I hate to see all this money just sitting in an account and I'm ignoring it like the dirty bastard child it is. Oh well. This debate isn't going to be solved by me sitting here and writing about it. I hate to think about what will happen in May when the government sends me another big whopping check for no reason other than it WANTS me to spend it instead of saving it up and buying a house.......
